Property owners to receive 2026 assessment notices

Lloydminster, AB/SK – 2026 property assessment notices were mailed to residential and non-residential property owners on January 30, 2026.

The 2026 assessments are based on market value as of July 1, 2025. Property owners are asked to review their 2026 property assessment notices to confirm the information is current and accurate.

Property owners with questions about their assessment are encouraged to contact the City’s Assessment Department or attend the Property Assessment Open House on Thursday, February 26. Assessment and tax information is available year-round through Virtual City Hall at Lloydminster.ca/VCH. Property owners may register for paperless notifications by contacting the Assessment and Taxation Department or by completing the form at Lloydminster.ca/Paperless.

Assessment Complaints

Property owners who believe their property assessment may be incorrect, after discussing it with the City’s Assessment Department, may submit a written complaint to the Assessment Review Board. Filing a complaint does not change tax payment deadlines or late-payment penalties. If a complaint is successful, the filing fee will be refunded and any overpayment will be applied to the tax roll.

The deadline to file an assessment complaint is Friday, April 10, 2026.
