Winter maintenance operations continue across Lloydminster

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Winter has returned to Lloydminster! Snow is expected to continue over the next 24 hours, and with continued snowfall, crews are expected to remain on Priority 1 routes today, overnight, and into tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18.

Current operations include:

  • Sanding on Priority 1 routes
  • Priority 1 roadway plowing, with crews remaining on these routes and repeating clearing as needed
  • Day and night shifts are in place to continue sanding and Priority 1 roadway plowing

A parking ban on Priority 1 routes is in effect and residents are reminded to avoid parking on roadways until they are cleared. Residents are also asked not to push snow from driveways or sidewalks onto the street, as outlined in the Community Standards Bylaw.

Snow-clearing timelines vary based on snowfall, temperature, and wind conditions. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution, allow extra travel time, and maintain a safe distance from maintenance equipment while crews complete their work.
