Lloydminster, AB/SK — Seasonal street sweeping is underway within the city as crews begin cleaning the downtown and main arterial routes before transitioning to residential areas on Monday, April 28, 2025, weather pending. 

Lloydminster, AB/SK— The City of Lloydminster is installing ‘Winter Maintenance Activity - No Parking’ signs along Priority 2 route roadways. These new signs are an extension of the City’s Winter Roadway Maintenance Policy, approved by Council in 2023.

Lloydminster, AB/SK - As the snow continues to fall, the City of Lloydminster will begin a city-wide residential snow removal campaign on Monday, January 6, 2025. Crews section their work using the curbside collection zoning map, starting in the yellow zone and proceeding to the blue, green, orange and pink zones.

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Lloydminster motorists are advised that 41 Street will be closed from 40 Avenue to east of 39 Avenue from Monday, September 23, 2024, until Friday, November 8, 2024.

Lloydminster, AB/SK - ASL Paving Ltd. will conduct overnight work at 80 Avenue and 44 Street intersection on August 15 and August 16, weather permitting. The night shift will commence at 9 p.m. and conclude at 7 a.m. On August 15, the planned activity includes milling the intersection and paving work on August 16.

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Road repairs along 40 Avenue from 52 Street to 57 Street will result in temporary traffic detours beginning August 13, 2024, and expected to remain in effect for three (3) weeks depending on weather.

Lloydminster, AB/SK –The City of Lloydminster has temporarily closed traffic access along 40 Avenue between 41 Street and 44 Street.

Cleanup and remediation work on 52 Street between 50 Avenue and 62 Avenue will continue into mid-August following an asphalt spill from an industrial vehicle.

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Road repairs along 40 Avenue from 52 Street to 57 Street will result in temporary traffic detours beginning July 17, 2024.

Lloydminster, AB/SK – A significant liquid asphalt spill on 52 Street has forced a temporary road closure between 50 Avenue and 62 Avenue.

The Lloydminster Fire Department responded to the incident late Sunday evening to assist with shutting down the roadway.
