  • City begins process to amend Borrowing Bylaw

    Lloydminster, AB/SK — The City of Lloydminster is seeking to amend its Borrowing Bylaw (Bylaw No. 03-2022) to fund $7.38 million of the $101.3 million Cenovus Energy Hub project. While the construction project remains on budget and on schedule for completion in fall 2025, a shortfall in provincial funding has required the municipality to assume a larger portion of the total cost.  

  • A Moment with the Mayor: Household Recycling Roundup

    As we embrace the arrival of spring, many of us are finding items and materials that need to be disposed of. However, some of these items should not end up in the landfill, now or in the future.

    The City of Lloydminster, in partnership with the RM of Britannia #502, RM of Wilton #472, and the Town of Lashburn, invites residents to take part in the annual Household Recycling Roundup. Organized by the Lloydminster Household Recycling Roundup Committee, this event offers residents a free and environmentally safe way to dispose of household hazardous materials.

  • Spring street sweeping underway in Lloydminster

    Lloydminster, AB/SK — Seasonal street sweeping is underway within the city as crews begin cleaning the downtown and main arterial routes before transitioning to residential areas on Monday, April 28, 2025, weather pending.
