  • Applications open for Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program

    Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster is accepting applications for the Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program from November 1 until December 13. Eligible non-profit organizations in Lloydminster can apply for funding to help make a difference in the community. Non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply by visiting Lloydminster.ca/grants for full details and application guidelines.

  • Application withdrawn prior to SDAB hearing

    The applicant for the Subdivision Development Appeal Board (SDAB) hearing, scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, has withdrawn their application. Regardless of the application withdrawal, legislative process requires the SDAB convene.

    Lloydminster, AB/SK – On October 9, 2024, just after 12 p.m., Lloydminster RCMP became aware of a cougar within the city limits of Lloydminster. The cougar was last seen in the area of 33 Street and 45 Ave in Lloydminster.

  • Lloydminster Fire Department invites community to Fire Prevention Week Open House

    In recognition of Fire Prevention Week, the Lloydminster Fire Department will host an Open House at Fire Station #2 (2706 59 Ave) on October 8, 2024, from 3:30 p.m –7:30 p.m. This event offers an opportunity for the community to learn about fire safety, meet local firefighters, and explore the station.

    The Lloydminster Museum + Archives will host a presentation, “Canada’s British Home Children – Almost Forgotten,” on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. 

  • Lloydminster Fire Department responds to structure fire at Pioneer Lodge

    At approximately 2:25 p.m. on September 9, 2024, the Lloydminster Fire Department was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at the Pioneer Lodge. Fire crews arrived on the scene, located the fire and were able to extinguish it quickly. In addition to fire suppression efforts, traffic control was implemented in the area, and a full evacuation of the structure was initiated, with more than 170 residents and staff safely evacuated.

  • Grand Opening of New Bowsfield Playground

    The City of Lloydminster is pleased to announce the grand opening of the new Bowsfield Playground at 5323 23 Street. This new playground replaces the previous one, which had reached the end of its serviceable life. The new playground will enhance play and recreational options for residents of the College Park neighbourhood and surrounding area.
