Lloyd Needs

Lloydminster Social Needs Assessment

In the summer of 2022 the City of Lloydminster conducted a social needs assessment, Lloyd Needs, to determine the social wellbeing of the community. Over 2,000 surveys were completed, and more than 250 conversations were had in the community. From this survey, seven community priorities were identified which are:

  1. Access to Health and Social Services
  2. Income Inequality
  3. Transportation
  4. Housing and Homelessness
  5. Mental Health
  6. Safety and Security
  7. Access to Recreation

Learn more about the received data in the What We Heard Report. Individuals and organizations wishing to access data from the report for grant applications and planning can contact fcss@lloydminster.ca for assistance.

Social Policy Framework

The Social Policy Framework establishes a shared understanding of how community members, businesses and government can work together to address sensitive social issues. It outlines a common vision, set of values and defined roles that enable everyone to contribute meaningfully.

Using a collective impact approach, the Framework supports coordinated navigation and service delivery across organizations. This approach strengthens outcomes for residents while identifying areas where systems may require adjustment or advocacy. Its purpose is to ensure services are easy to access and aligned at the local and provincial program, system, regulatory and policy levels.

The Lloydminster Social Policy Framework Leadership Model focuses on one core goal: reducing system barriers to ensure residents experience seamless, effective service delivery.

To efficiently address the needs of Lloydminster, working groups for each of the seven priorities have been established.
