Public Art

Public art represents community values, enhances our environment, transforms public addresses into focal points and develops our awareness of place, people and history. The City of Lloydminster recognizes art as an important part of regional culture and economy and that the City has a responsibility to foster an environment that supports public art.

In June 2021, Council adopted its Public Art Policy, which provides direction for the administration of the City’s Public Art Collection. A Terms of Reference was created to provide direction for the operation of the Public Art Advisory Committee and the administration of the Public Art Collection. The Public Art Advisory Committee is currently not seeking submissions of public art; however, if you have an initiative or project that may relate to City-owned public art, you may get in touch at publicart@lloydminster.ca.
